I need to do a better job of writing down the silly things my kids do & say. Here's one:
last night I read an article in Parents magazine, listing some of the signs that your kid may be "gifted". Well obviously I have two superior children on my hands, so I just wanted to see if the author knew what they were talking about. I was telling Matt tonight at dinner what these "signs" were, how Sawyer fit them to a T, when we look over at Abes & homeboy is standing under our glass dining room table, banging his fat little monkey paw on the underside of the table trying to grab my cell phone. Through the glass. It was close enough to the edge that he could have just reached up & grabbed it, but clearly, that'd would have been too much effort. Ummmm yeah, he may not be showing signs of a gifted child any time soon. HA! it was so freaking funny. It reminded me of that part of Bee Movie where he keeps trying to fly through a window "this time... this time.... this time!"
Then when I was tucking Sawyer into bed....crap. I forgot. Seriously I think I am getting Alzheimers.
OH! OH! I remembered! We were saying goodnight to her fish & she asked how fishes sleep. I don't know that. I told her that I really didn't think they did. Then she goes "wow, they must get really whiny, it's a good thing that we can't hear them whine..."wha wha wha i'm hungry wha wha"". Oh my gosh I love that girl.
(After some googling, turns out I was right(ish). They rest, but it's not usually like sleep as humans think of it.)
